Farisai Bruce Kambarami was born in Poughkeepsie, New York and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe. His first exposure to a visual medium came in the form of a VHS camcorder his uncle owned, which spurred is passion for cinematography.

His first Local 600 professional experience as a camera loader was on the Disney feature film Wrinkle In Time, directed by Ava DuVernay and photographed by Tobias Schliessler, ASC. He has since worked on numerous film and television productions with acclaimed cinematographers such as Anette Haellmigk and Claudio Miranda, ASC.

As a cinematographer he has worked on numerous short films and has recently been the main director of photography for the Nike EKIN collection.

Farisai received his MFA in Cinematography from Chapman University in 2013, under the tutelage of Bill Dill, ASC and Johnny Jensen, ASC and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
